"Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody." I loveeeeeeed this quote in the book. It's the last two sentences and is pretty dramatic. I liked that part but i still wasn't impressed with the ending. I don't like Holden's relationship with Sally Hansen. He basically is using her because he's totally lonely . He'll say things like, "she's a pain in the ass, but she looks really good today," or "we got in a fight, but then i asked her to go out." Then he purposes to her just to cure his loneliness. To be honest, this is reality because many guys do this to girls...just use them. I like that the book is so realistic and modern but I was hoping for more to happen.

Catcher 2

I've started the second half of Catcher and I'm still not impressed. I was hoping for a climax to happen but...nothing. Holden's character is very real and i thought the love between him and Jane would spark, but nothing has happened. At this point i don't even know what to say, I'll post another when i finish the book but so far, I'm thinking it's just overrated.

"Catcher" before you're too late..

Yesterday I finished half of "The Catcher in the Rye." Everyone older that I've talked to has said that this book is amazing. I haven't gotten to see how great it is yet and I'm already halfway through, so I'm sort of losing faith. I haven't hit the climax yet however, so it should get better. Overall, it's good so far, just didn't blow me away. I like Holden's character. I think he's very in touch with his age, like most 22 year olds are. He smokes, drinks, talks about sex and goes to strip clubs. It's very much like the real world, because a young guy does/experiments with all those things. I have to admit that I'm very much looking forward to what's going to happen with Jane and Holden. It seems that he's in love with what he knows of her, but maybe things have changed. Maybe they see each other and fall in love all over again. I feel as if this book has a lot to do with love, so hopefully something very romantic will happen, because romance entices me when it comes to books. There's nothing better than reading about people falling madly in love, except for the fact that it makes you hate your life that much more, because the most love you have in your life is from you're parents. :]
